at an altitude of 768 meters above sea level, Rocca Priora is the highest town in the area. The view from the belvedere extends from Rome to the Roman countryside and the sea. At one time the town provided the capital city with snow and ice, it was sold to wealthy families so that they would have a supply during the summer. Palazzo Savelli, which is now the town-hall, is very interesting, with its beautiful pointed ogival doorway and the 14th century heraldic emblem. Not to be missed the church of the Madonna della Neve and the parish church of Maria As- sunta, a valuable architectural creation. In May the Festival of the Narcissus is not to be missed.
